The Beginning of the End for Mojave Viper
Well, things are winding down here at Mojave Viper (affectionately known as “the Vipe'”) and we are getting ready to say goodbye to 29 Palms. We technically only have 3 more days of training, but we will not depart for North Carolina for more than a week. Of course coming to a crossroads such as this stirs so many emotions… unanswered questions. What happened to the other 28 palms? What was that meat-like substance I had for dinner last night? Why did I get a second helping if I was so suspicious of its origins? And of course, What is the deal with this damned Desert Tortoise that I keep hearing about but never see? What can I say? Life, much like the desert, is full of mysteries. All a man can do is keep his sense of wonder.
