This Historic Super Bowl

So I did a little more research on the Packers and I think that this Super Bowl may be even more epic than what even I estimated. The two teams are like Romulus and Remus. Here’s what I found:

-The Steelers have the most Super Bowls in the NFL (6) but the Packers have the most National
Championships (12)

-Both teams can lay claim to being the most winning team in NFL playoff history, the Steelers having won the most playoff games (33), the Packers having the best playoff victory average (63.6%).

-Both teams tied in the definitive ESPN poll (2008) for the best fans in the NFL. A tie breaker was implemented and the Steelers were named the winner.

-On the Packer’s Wikipedia page the Pittsburgh Steelers are referenced 8 times because of similarities between the teams. They are mentioned more than twice as much as the Detroit Lions, who are in Green Bay’s division.

If you haven’t noticed I really like this Super Bowl match-up. I’ll even go so far as to say that this has the makings of the best Super Bowl ever. I don’t even think I would be upset if the Steelers lost. Regardless to the outcome both teams are going to come out with their phenomenal records intact, and each will have bragging rights of having played in the most epic national championship in the history of football, possibly in all of American sports.
