A Special Visit
I'm sure that at least a few of you have noticed that I have not posted much since my new assignment. This may also surprise you since I specifically stated that I would have more time to spare. This was very true, but there have been aspects of the job that have put extra work on my desk. Namely, the Commandant of the Marine Corps recently visited the compound in which I work, which obviously added a significant amount of work to my day. In the interest of security I couldn't share this information beforehand, but since he has already come and gone it is safe to mention it now. It is also safe to say that my workload will go back down to its normal level forthwith. Granted, it is a real honor to be Corporal of the Guard when the Commandant of the Marine Corps comes to visit, but I'm glad things are going to be less hectic now.
