So we’ve been here in Mojave Viper here in 29 palms for going on 6 days and we have had some good training, but we have also had some down time. Well, idle hands are the Devil’s workshop… or perhaps 29 palms is the Devil’s workshop. At any rate, we decided to keep the mischief to a minimum, but how? The answer came from my good friend Tommy Howard. The answer was to build a bridge. Cue pictures:
Yes. We built a suspension bridge almost entirely from trash we picked up in the desert. I like to call it a “bat wing” design because the suspension lines look like bat wings. I also constructed a rake out of discarded tent pegs, and will soon begin work on a zen garden adjacent to the bridge.
